Week 1 of ONLINE LEARNING: April 13-17, 2020
You MUST pick a track and stick with it for the duration of the 11-week course.
  • TRACK 1 = Students with Adobe Software access who wish to continue learning the software toward the goal of taking the online ACA exam.
  • Install the Adobe Software on your computer.
  • Continue to watch the BrainBuffet videos and, as an alternative, you can watch the videos on the help menu.
  • Do ONE of the Photoshop challenges available HERE -OR- do ONE of the Illustrator challenges available HERE.
  • Turn-in your assignment using the Bear Button at left, or email it to me.
  • TRACK 2 = Students without access who wish to learn the basics of design theory through a series of readings and activities.
  • Week 1 Activity HERE
Week 10: March 30 - April 3, 2020
  • I desperately need some information from you so that I can make decisions about online learning, which starts April 13th.
  • You will be contacted the instant that I hear about free Adobe Software installation on your home computers.
  • Check this page EVERY day for activities and guidance.
  • Continue to watch the BrainBuffet videos, learn the software, and PREPARE to take the Certification Exam at the end of the semester. There are NO shortcuts!
  • You will be able to take the Certification Exam via internet at home on your laptop, desktop, or chrome book.

Your Goal is to Pass the Adobe Certified Associate Exam
Confidence is critical in the creative industry, and certifications are the key to confidence.
This is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Jobs are Tight. Competition for good, creative jobs is tight. Having certification puts you ahead of all other entry-level design applicants. An ACA certification can make the difference between getting a great job or settling for something less.

Do it NOW and save Big $$$
. If you get your ACA certification in this class, it won't cost you a thing. If you wait for after high school, you will need to pay for the cost of a course (~$500.00) plus the cost of a practice exam (~$45.00) PLUS the cost of the ACA test (~$70.00). If you certify in this class, will also earn college credit for Photoshop and Illustrator - another way to help you save money.

You CAN get certified - just concentrate on one application at a time. Commit to 3+ semesters of class and you can do this!
More and more, careers in top creative industries require mastery of more than one Adobe Creative Cloud tool. That's why there is now the ACA Specialist certificate. Earning a Specialist certificate allows you to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise with the most common skills required for a specific industry. Demonstrate Adobe cross platform expertise - which will really help you get a job.
